The role of Pastry Key Employee (PKE) within Certified Kitchen and Bakery is a critical leadership position within their kitchen operations. This position supports the Kitchen Manager in various back-of-house responsibilities including ordering, food quality control, customer service, and safety enforcement. The PKE plays a hands-on role in maintaining kitchen standards, engaging with team members, and ensuring food presentation and taste consistently meet the bakery’s elevated expectations.
