This Cook position is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about culinary arts and dedicated to upholding the highest quality standards in food preparation and guest satisfaction. The role involves preparing special meals and substitute items, managing cooking equipment temperatures such as ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters, and ensuring proper portioning, arrangement, and garnishing of food. The Cook will be responsible for maintaining food logs and monitoring the quality and quantity of food prepared to uphold the strict standards of The Ritz-Carlton.
In addition to food preparation, the role requires effective communication with management and Food & Beverage service staff to report specials, out-of-stock items, and excess food use, fostering a collaborative team environment. The Cook will also assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees while acting as a role model who embodies the company’s values and standards.
Safety and professionalism are paramount in this role. The Cook must adhere to all company policies and safety procedures, report any maintenance needs or unsafe conditions, complete safety training and certifications, and maintain a clean and professional appearance at all times. This position requires physical stamina to stand, sit, or walk for long periods and perform various physical tasks such as bending, twisting, lifting, and carrying objects up to 25 pounds.

- Technical, trade, or vocational school degree
- at least 3 years of related work experience
- ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
