Job Requirements
- Valid Food Handlers Card
- Ability to greet and interact with customers in a friendly manner
- Ability to assist with preparing desserts and pastries
- Ability to take cake orders and maintain stocked display cases
- Capacity to support baking of breads, cookies, and desserts including pan dulce
- Skills in decorating cakes and pastries
- Artistic ability to create decorated cakes and mix icing colors
- Effective communication skills with management and team
- Ability to conduct inventory regularly
- Ability to maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards
- Capability to stock and manage bakery product rotation
- Proficiency with professional bakery equipment
- Ability to take food orders in person and by telephone
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs
- Ability to walk and stand continuously throughout the shift

- Valid Food Handlers Card
- Customer service experience desirable
- Pastry decorating experience desirable
- Retail experience desirable
Job Duties
- Greet and interact with customers to address questions or concerns in a friendly, service-oriented manner
- Assist pastry team with preparing desserts and pastries as needed
- Take cake orders, ensure the department has fresh fruits and products, and maintain a fully stocked display case
- Support team with baking various breads, cookies, and desserts, including pan dulce
- Decorate cakes and pastries for customers
- Use artistic skills to create beautiful decorated cakes and pastries and mix colors for icing
- Effectively communicate with management and baking team in order to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guests and or other employees
- Conduct inventory on a regular basis to ensure proper levels
- Maintains standards for quality, cleanliness, organization, customer service, safety, loss prevention, sanitation, department conditions, and food safety
- Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while examining the rotation of all bakery products and discarding outdated or spoiled items
- Work with various professional Bakery equipment, including heat sources, mixers, and blenders
- Takes food orders in person and by telephone
- All other duties as assigned
