Job Requirements

  • Ability to handle and manipulate objects with hands, including seizing, grasping, turning, and holding
  • Capability to work on your feet for at least 8 hours
  • Fast-paced movements required to navigate various areas of the club
  • Ability to lift, pull, carry, or move objects weighing up to 40 pounds occasionally and 15 pounds regularly
  • Occasional kneeling, bending, crouching, and climbing as required

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a fast-paced, upscale, and professional culinary environment
  • Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, including baking, decorating, and plating
  • Creative mindset and the ability to develop unique and visually appealing pastry creations
  • Attention to detail and precision in recipe execution and presentation
  • Understanding of flavor combinations and the ability to create delicious and balanced desserts
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with the culinary team
  • Flexibility in working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required
  • Willingness to arrive early for work, allowing sufficient time to settle and be briefed on previous and upcoming services

Job Duties

  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop menus that align with the establishment's culinary vision and showcase creative flair
  • Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, desserts, and bread, ensuring they meet high standards of taste, quality, and visual appeal
  • Contribute unique ideas to menu development and offer suggestions for innovative pastry creations
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the pastry department, adhering to food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Assist in managing inventory and controlling costs to ensure efficient operations
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the pastry department
  • Stay updated on industry trends and techniques to continuously enhance pastry offerings
  • Execute pastry orders accurately and efficiently, meeting designated deadlines
  • Strive for excellence in all aspects of pastry preparation, presentation, and flavor
