The Pastry Cook position is an overnight role within the Retail Operations department, reporting directly to the Executive Pastry Chef. The salary range for this position is between $15 and $21 per hour. The role demands a passionate and skilled individual focused on delivering exceptional pastry creations that enhance the guest experience and uphold the bakery’s standards of quality and creativity. The Pastry Cook is responsible for organizing and managing the pastry section of the kitchen, ensuring a clean, efficient, and successful work environment.

Key responsibilities include preparing ingredients, maintaining kitchen equipment, and creating new recipes for seasonal menus, reflecting innovation and a love for the art of pastry making. The Pastry Cook will also maintain inventory levels of baking ingredients to ensure smooth kitchen operations and compliance with safety and health regulations. An essential aspect of the role is the training and supervision of new team members to foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, often standing, walking, bending, and squatting for up to eight hours per shift. The candidate must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, enjoying guest and team member engagement, and be flexible with scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. The ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds is also required.
