The role available is for a Pastry Cook III, who will join the talented culinary team at Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village. This full-time position offers an hourly wage starting at $23.22 and plays a crucial part in maintaining the high standards of the hotel’s food and beverage offerings. The Pastry Cook III is responsible for preparing a variety of pastry items that meet consistent quality standards while adhering to recipe guidelines, production, portion control, and presentation specifications. They will manage the mise en place and station setup for various meal services including breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Job Requirements
- High school education or equivalent
- minimum two years culinary or related work experience
- advanced culinary knowledge
- legal work authorization in the United States
- excellent proficiency in reading, writing and speaking English
- ability to operate and clean pastry kitchen equipment properly

Job Duties
- Prepare pastry items according to guest orders of consistent quality following recipe cards, as well as production, portion, and presentation standards
- complete mise en place and set-up station for breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner service
- start food items that are prepared ahead of time, making sure not to prepare beyond estimated needs
- operate, maintain and properly clean kitchen equipment, including deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven, steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron, and flat top grill
- date all food containers and rotate as per policies, ensuring perishables are kept at proper temperatures
- check pars for shift use, determine necessary preparation, freezer pull and line set up
- note any out-of-stock items or possible shortages
- return unused food items to designated storage areas with proper coverage and dating
- assist in setting up plans to correct food cost problems and control food waste, loss, and usage per policies
