Job Requirements
- Culinary education is strongly preferred but several years of commercial cooking experience may substitute
- previous experience in a pastry kitchen ideally in a high-volume or fine dining environment
- strong understanding of pastry techniques including baking decorating and plating
- attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality pastries and desserts
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple tasks effectively
- excellent teamwork and communication skills
- eligibility to work in Canada without sponsorship

Job Duties
- Clean and process raw ingredients preparing mise-en-place and bases for pastry items
- ensure high standards of food hygiene storage and kitchen cleanliness
- complete Food Safe Training certification
- prepare consistent high-quality pastry items per guest orders following recipe and presentation standards
- set up and maintain workstation for breakfast lunch or dinner service prepping only what is needed
- operate maintain and clean kitchen equipment such as fryers stoves and mixers
- label rotate and store perishables properly checking stock levels and noting shortages
- minimize food waste adhering to food cost and usage policies
- communicate with the Pastry Chef contributing to menu development and recipe creation
