Job Requirements
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of pastry production methods

- reliable, punctual, and detail-conscious
- endure various physical movements throughout the work areas
- ability to move safely in uneven terrain or in confined spaces
- remain active, constantly moving, or prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer throughout work shift
- medium work: exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of constantly moving objects, may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
Job Qualifications
- 1-2 years of pastry experience in a professional kitchen or bakery
- basic understanding of pastry terminology, techniques, and tools
- desire to learn and improve under supervision of senior pastry staff
- punctual, organized, and committed to sanitation and quality standards
Job Duties
- Scale and prepare ingredients for desserts, breads, and baked goods as directed
- assist in assembly and plating of desserts during service
- follow recipes and plating guides with accuracy and attention to detail
- maintain cleanliness of tools, prep areas, and pastry storage throughout shift
- label, date, and store all items in accordance with kitchen protocols
- support daily mise en place and assist with banquet or special event prep as needed
