Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • less than 1 year related work experience
  • no supervisory experience
  • ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
  • ability to lift, carry, push, pull, or place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance
  • flexibility to move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces
  • ability to reach overhead and below the knees including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
  • ability to comply with food safety and hygiene policies

Job Duties

  • prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards
  • prepare ingredients for cooking including portioning, chopping, and storing food before use
  • safely use baking and measuring tools, equipment, and appliances
  • follow and ensure compliance with food safety handling policies and procedures
  • check and ensure correct temperatures of kitchen appliances and food and report issues to management
  • wash and disinfect kitchen area, set-up and break-down work station, and ensure compliance with sanitation and cleaning procedures
  • monitor the quality of food prepared and portions served throughout shift
