Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working in a pastry or baking role preferred
- Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods
- Must be able to lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to work on uneven, slippery, or sloped surfaces
- Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, and stooping
- Comfortable working in hot/cold environments (e.g., kitchen, walk-ins)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment
- Ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and respectfully
- Flexible schedule including availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and standardized procedures accurately

- Previous experience in a bakery, pastry kitchen, or hospitality environment
- Strong multitasking, organization, and time management skills
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
- Basic knowledge of pastry fundamentals, baking techniques, and ingredient handling
Job Duties
- Prepare and bake pastries, desserts, breads, and specialty items following established recipes and quality standards
- Accurately measure, portion, and prepare ingredients needed for daily production
- Set up and break down assigned pastry station, ensuring proper organization, labeling, and cleanliness
- Monitor food quality, taste, texture, and consistency throughout the shift
- Follow food preparation checklists to ensure readiness for service and banquet production
- Follow all food safety and personal hygiene procedures in accordance with health regulations and hotel standards
- Ensure proper handling, storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients (FIFO)
- Clean, sanitize, and maintain pastry work areas, tools, mixers, and equipment throughout the shift
- Check the temperature and functionality of pastry equipment and appliances
- report concerns to management
- Communicate clearly and professionally with team members and leaders
- Assist with special events, banquet functions, VIP amenities, and seasonal offerings as directed
- All other duties as assigned
