The role of a Culinary Team Member at The Ritz-Carlton involves preparing ingredients and cooking food to the highest quality and presentation standards. This position requires meticulous attention to detail in portioning, chopping, weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients, as well as operating kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers. The Culinary Team Member is responsible for ensuring that all food is cooked sufficiently, maintaining food quality throughout the preparation process, and adhering to strict food safety and sanitation protocols.

In addition to food preparation, this role entails setting up and breaking down work stations, serving food in appropriate portions and receptacles, and maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen area. Employees must monitor appliance and food temperatures to ensure compliance with company standards and promptly report any maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, or unsafe working conditions to management. The position demands a professional appearance, confidentiality of proprietary information, and protection of company assets at all times.
