The position available is for a skilled Baker who will play a crucial role in the culinary team, responsible for preparing a variety of breads and pastries. This includes making doughs and fillings, proofing, baking, and decorating baked goods to precise specifications. The Baker will work with daily production sheets to ensure a wide range of baked products meet quality, presentation, and food safety standards. Utilizing appropriate baking tools and appliances, the Baker will ensure all food preparation processes comply with established safety protocols and hygiene requirements.
Beyond baking, the role includes maintaining kitchen logs to support food safety programs, monitoring temperature compliance, and managing inventory communication with the Chef for daily specials planning. The Baker will also be instrumental in supporting management by providing assistance in hiring and training kitchen staff, scheduling, and employee development. Serving as a role model, the Baker will foster positive workplace relationships, encourage teamwork, and uphold all company policies, including safety and security measures.
The role demands physical stamina to stand, walk, lift, and move objects up to 25 pounds and perform tasks requiring bending, twisting, and stooping. A strong emphasis is placed on communication skills, professionalism, and confidentiality concerning company information. - at least 2 years of related work experience
- ability to stand sit or walk for an extended period of time
- ability to move lift carry push pull and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance
- ability to reach overhead and below the knees including bending twisting pulling and stooping
- ability to work safely in a fast-paced kitchen environment

Job Duties
- prepare breads and pastries including preparing doughs and fillings proofing baking and decorating as appropriate
- review production sheet to understand variety of baked goods to be produced daily
- prepare and cook food according to recipes quality and presentation standards and food prep checklists
- maintain kitchen logs for food safety program compliance
- keep chef informed of excess food items for planning of daily specials
- safely and appropriately use baking and measuring tools equipment appliances to prepare baked foods
- follow and ensure compliance with food safety handling policies and procedures including personal hygiene procedures
