Job Description

The Broadmoor is a distinguished luxury resort renowned for its exceptional service, outstanding culinary offerings, and rich heritage as a Forbes Five-Star and AAA Five Diamond destination. Located in Colorado Springs, The Broadmoor has established itself as a premier resort with a lasting commitment to delivering an unforgettable guest experience in an environment that fosters a culture of family and community. Known for blending elegance, tradition, and impeccable hospitality, the resort strives to maintain its reputation as a world-class destination through dedicated service and exceptional culinary craftsmanship.

As a Pastry Cook I at The Broadmoor, you will become an integral member of the esteemed Pastry Culinary team. This role is vital for maintaining the resort's high standards of dessert creation, ensuring that all pastries and specialty items meet the stringent quality, taste, and visual appeal requirements set by the Executive Pastry Chef and the culinary leadership team. You will work alongside the Pastry Sous Chef and Junior Sous Chef, assisting in the preparation and production of desserts in both large and small quantities, carefully following menu specifications and recipes.

This position offers an hourly wage of $19.13 and provides the opportunity to work in an environment that values teamwork, creativity, and precision. As a Pastry Cook I, your responsibilities extend beyond simple preparation—you will be expected to control food portions, guarantee consistency in flavor and presentation, and uphold rigorous safety and sanitation standards. The role demands a proactive and detail-oriented approach, including managing food rotation to prevent spoilage, monitoring inventory, and collaborating with the culinary management team to adjust recipes and workflows based on business needs.

Working at The Broadmoor means embracing the resort's dedication to excellence and the Forbes Five-Star and AAA Five Diamond standards, which all employees are proud ambassadors of. The Pastry Cook I position will challenge you to employ your knowledge of pastry techniques and culinary arts while fostering a passion for quality and innovation. With a focus on maintaining cleanliness and organization at your workstation and supporting seamless kitchen operations, you will be a key contributor to the resort's culinary success.

In addition to crafting exquisite pastries, you will engage in ongoing learning and follow the guidance of culinary leaders to refine your skills and expand your culinary repertoire. The Broadmoor is committed to professional growth, offering career development and training opportunities designed to help you reach your full potential. Joining The Broadmoor means becoming part of a team that values collaboration, continuous improvement, and providing five-star service to every guest.

Overall, this role is perfect for enthusiastic culinary professionals who have completed formal training such as the American Culinary Federation (ACF) Apprenticeship or culinary school, and who bring at least one year of experience in a full-service pastry shop. If you are passionate about pastry arts and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, The Broadmoor offers a rewarding career path where your talents will be recognized and nurtured. With competitive pay and comprehensive benefits, this is an ideal opportunity to grow in one of the most prestigious resorts in the world while creating memorable experiences for guests across the globe.
