Job Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years pastry experience
  • Culinary degree or school preferred
  • Ability to communicate well both verbally and written in basic English
  • Compliance with serve safe and safety procedures
  • Able to lift 50 lbs
  • Able to stand for 8 hour shift
  • Flexible with hours and schedule

Job Qualifications

  • Complete comprehension of baking math and recipe conversion
  • Knowledge of entire bakery and ability to train other cooks
  • Advanced skills in wedding cakes, viennoiserie, plated desserts, and chocolate/sugar work
  • Complete understanding of all daily operations
  • Ability to assist Pastry Chef and maintain kitchen in Pastry Chef’s absence
  • Ability to work each shift in bakeshop and train employees
  • Compliance with all Serve Safe and safety procedures
  • Designated trainer for department
  • Flexible with hours and schedule
  • Minimum 5 years pastry experience
  • Culinary degree or school preferred
  • Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing in basic English
  • Reading and counting skills essential

Job Duties

  • Prepare all pastry items
  • Maintain control charts of all food items produced
  • Maintain high cleanliness throughout cooking area
  • Responsible for opening and closing checklists and production of daily menu items
  • Lead in responsible outlet including banquets, wedding cakes, productions, viennoiserie
  • Demonstrate technique and precision to other Pastry Cooks
  • Work with Pastry Chef to produce new menu items, tastings, VIP buffets
