At the Hotel Paso Del Norte in El Paso, TX, a historic and beautifully restored hotel known for its elegant atmosphere and rich cultural heritage, Hotel Equities is currently seeking a skilled Pastry Cook. This role is pivotal in maintaining the high culinary standards the hotel is known for, especially in its bakery and dessert offerings. The Pastry Cook will prepare a wide range of quality pastry products, encompassing breakfast pastries, desserts, breads, ice creams, sorbets, creams, simple syrups, amenities, displays, centerpieces, and custom special order items. This position requires creativity, precision, and a thorough understanding of pastry techniques to ensure that every dish meets the hotel's exacting standards.
The Pastry Cook will work closely with the Executive Chef, coordinating daily assignments, anticipating business volumes, and contributing actively to the kitchen team’s overall success. Adherence to state health and sanitation regulations as well as internal hotel policies is essential to uphold food safety standards. The role also demands responsibility for maintaining the cleanliness and operational efficiency of all kitchen tools and equipment related to pastry preparation. Candidates will need to manage production schedules efficiently, maintain inventory levels, and prioritize tasks effectively to meet service demands.
