Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a pastry cook or baker in a production kitchen, commissary or bakery
  • Experience in proofing and baking croissants, muffins, etc
  • Proficiency in following standardized recipes and producing desserts from scratch
  • Previous hotel pastry production experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of bakery production equipment
  • Open availability to work morning, evening, weekend and holiday shifts
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a pastry cook or baker in a production kitchen, commissary or bakery
  • Experience in proofing and baking croissants, muffins, etc
  • Proficiency in following standardized recipes and producing desserts from scratch including tiramisu, panna cotta, bread pudding
  • Previous hotel pastry production experience is a plus
  • Working knowledge of bakery production equipment including ovens, mixers, proofers, scales, hand blenders
  • Open availability including morning, evening, weekend and holiday shifts
  • Ability to work independently and with a team

Job Duties

  • Prepare pastry food items according to designated recipes and quality standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards
  • Stock, maintain and ensure proper storage and refrigeration of an adequate supply of all prepared product
  • Develop new products for a-la-carte and catering menus, as needed
  • Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulations
  • Display and set baked products on mobile carts according to specifications
  • Prepare daily requisitions for supplies and food items
