Job Requirements

  • At least 2 years experience working in a professional kitchen
  • Ability to work under a certified master chef
  • Availability to work all shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift heavy bags of flour, sugar, and other ingredients
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
  • Ability to operate and maintain bakery equipment

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a pastry cook or baker
  • Formal culinary training or certification in pastry arts is preferred
  • Knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and processes
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly with presentation and flavor combinations
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Job Duties

  • Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, desserts, cakes, cookies, and other baked goods
  • Follow recipes and maintain consistency in taste and presentation
  • Create and decorate pastries and desserts to a high standard
  • Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are met
  • Manage the inventory of baking ingredients and ensure proper storage
  • Work with the kitchen team to meet production timelines and service needs
  • Assist in creating new menu items and special dessert offerings
