Job Requirements
- minimum of 1-year pastry chef experience in a full service restaurant or equivalent
- punctuality in meeting personal schedule requirements
- maintaining a clean and well-manicured persona that reflects the restaurant's image
- ability to safely transport containers weighing up to 30 pounds
- ability to stand or walk for entire shifts
- safe transportation on slick and uneven surfaces and stairs
- ability to move safely throughout restaurant areas
- flexibility to work variable shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- ability to perform in limited physical space with variable ventilation, smoke, and extreme temperatures
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- perform a daily walk through inventory to prioritize product utilization
- identify and communicate inventory and equipment needs to ordering manager
- meet daily with executive chef to ensure production standards
- assist in the development and maintenance of pastry recipe books including ingredients and portion sizes
- assist in developing dessert menus and items
- produce pastries for restaurant and special functions
- prepare ingredients for pastry recipes
- prepare pastry items according to recipes
- maintain food quality standards including consistency and presentation
- coordinate proper food storage according to procedures
- work dessert station on line when necessary
- use equipment as prescribed
- safely use knives and utensils in food preparation
- operate functions independently when necessary
- maintain a clean and orderly work area for safety
- communicate problems to management immediately
