Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience as a cook or in a related role
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Validated knowledge of food preparation principles and safety regulations
  • Must be able to acquire food safety certification
  • Physical ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and stand for extended periods
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and use personal protective equipment as needed

Job Qualifications

  • Experience as a cook or in a related role required
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Knowledge of food preparation principles, cooking methods, and food safety regulations
  • Ability to acquire food safety certification
  • Demonstrate basic math and counting skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal

Job Duties

  • Cook and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
  • Create fresh pastries and desserts daily
  • Set up workstation with needed ingredients and equipment
  • Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items
  • Safely use utensils including knives
  • Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, and mixers
  • Bake, roast, broil, steam, and apply various cooking methods on meats, vegetables, and other foods
  • Arrange, garnish, and portion food according to guidelines
  • Properly store food adhering to food safety policies
  • Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils
  • Maintain excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests and coworkers
  • Adhere to Aramark safety policies and food safety procedures
  • Ensure security of company assets
