  • Certification of culinary training or apprenticeship preferred
  • Adequate pastry skills and operations
  • Able to stand for length of shift

Job Duties

  • Demonstrating skill in baking pastries, desserts, cakes, cookies, sweets, and pies
  • Applying classic pastry baking techniques when preparing traditional pastries, including laminated pastries
  • Monitoring equipment and ensuring all specialized pastry baking tools are in working order
  • Bake pastry items according to pre-established recipes and package products according to commissary guidelines
  • Decorate pastries in a consistent style
  • Maintain inventory of prepped ingredients
  • Properly label and store ingredients
  • Help maintain a clean and safe work environment to comply with sanitation, ServSafe, and safety requirements
  • Adhere to the details of the operation, including all operating standards, food standards, service standards, and policies and procedures as outlined in the company handbook
  • Perform dishwashing duties to ensure clean and sanitized kitchen tools are available for use
  • Other duties and tasks assigned
