Located at the Marriott St. Louis Grand, this Full-Time, Non-Management Food and Beverage position offers a key role within the culinary team of the hotel. The role primarily involves preparing and cooking food in adherence to Marriott’s recipe, quality, and presentation standards. Responsibilities include ingredient preparation such as portioning, chopping, peeling of fruits and vegetables, and the correct storage of food items. The position also requires proficiency in operating kitchen equipment like ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers, ensuring food is cooked to the appropriate safety and quality standards.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of related culinary or food preparation experience
- No supervisory experience required
- Ability to follow detailed recipes and safety protocols
- Physical capability to stand walk or sit during entire shifts
- Ability to lift and move items up to 25 pounds without assistance
- Must adhere to company uniform and dress code policies
- Willingness to complete safety training and certifications

Job Duties
- Prepare ingredients for cooking including portioning chopping and storing food
- Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables
- Weigh measure and mix ingredients
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes quality standards presentation standards and food preparation checklist
- Operate ovens stoves grills microwaves and fryers
- Test foods to determine if sufficiently cooked
- Monitor food quality while preparing food
