Job Requirements
- Minimum of one year experience in a pastry kitchen
- Ability to speak, read and understand basic baking and cooking directions
- Positive energy and teamwork skills
- Effective communication abilities
- Flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Physical capability for standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling, or lifting
- Adherence to kitchen policies and DHEC regulations
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of one year experience in a pastry kitchen preparing and cooking
- Ability to speak, read and understand basic baking and cooking directions
- Positive energy and readiness to assist team members
- Effective communication skills with managers, employees, and guests
- Flexible schedule to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Physical stamina for constant standing and walking with occasional stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling, or lifting
Job Duties
- Prepare all dessert and baked good items on the menu using standard recipe cards
- Adhere to standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures
- Complete daily prep lists and closing checklists for each shift
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work station, adhering to all DHEC regulations
- Promptly report all product shortages, equipment problems or food quality issues to Pastry Chef or Executive Chef
- Assist fellow support staff and work as a team player
- Communicate effectively with managers, employees, and guests
