Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- minimum of three years of pastry cook experience
- ability to communicate effectively in English
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- ability to operate kitchen tools and equipment
- capability to work flexible hours without late nights
- must pass pre-employment criminal background check and drug screening
Job Qualifications
- at least three years of experience as a pastry cook in a hotel restaurant country club or similar establishment
- ability to understand and follow instructions in English
- effective communication skills
- working knowledge of kitchen equipment operations and maintenance
- understanding of measurements conversions nutrition and diet requirements
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- ability to provide photo samples of dessert and pastry creations
Job Duties
- prepare pastries baked goods and desserts from scratch according to standard recipes
- accommodate special dietary orders when necessary
- organize pastry production in a cost-effective manner
- maintain compliance with health and safety standards
- keep workstation clean safe and sanitary at all times
- operate and maintain kitchen tools and equipment properly
- follow personal hygiene and dress code standards
