The Four Seasons Hotel and Residences New Orleans is currently hiring a part-time Pastry Cook to join their culinary team. This role is integral to the kitchen's pastry section and plays a vital part in delivering high-quality pastry items and baked goods to the hotel’s guests both in daily service and for special banquet events. The Pastry Cook is responsible for preparing a variety of sweet items including pastries, cakes, ice creams, sorbets, fruit compotes, chocolates, and showpieces according to guest orders while ensuring all products meet stringent quality and production standards. Creativity and innovation are essential in this role, as is the ability to develop and mentor team members to consistently produce premium bakery items. Job Requirements

  • At least 1 year experience working in a pastry kitchen
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

  • Ability to function well under pressure set priorities and adjust to changing conditions
  • High work ethic with a sense of responsibility for the role filled within the team
  • At least 1 year experience working in a pastry kitchen

Job Duties

  • Prepare sweet items pastries cakes ice creams sorbets fruit compotes chocolates and show pieces according to guest orders and banquet event orders
  • Ensure all dishes are in accordance with production requirements and quality standards
  • Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment
