Job Requirements

  • Minimum of one year experience in pastry kitchen preparing and cooking
  • positive energy and team player attitude
  • ability to read, speak, and understand basic baking and cooking directions
  • effective communication skills
  • flexible schedule to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • physical ability to stand and walk constantly with occasional stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling, or lifting

Job Duties

  • Prepare all dessert and baked good items on the menu using standard recipe cards
  • adhere to standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen rules
  • complete daily prep list and closing checklist while maintaining a clean and sanitary work station
  • promptly report product shortages, equipment problems, or food quality issues to Pastry Chef or Executive Chef
  • follow all DHEC regulations in cleanliness and food safety
  • assist fellow support staff and work as a team player
  • communicate effectively with managers, employees, and guests
