The Roosevelt is currently seeking a dedicated Full-Time Pastry Cook to join its esteemed culinary team. This role is integral to maintaining the high standards of quality and service that guests expect from a Waldorf Astoria property. A Pastry Cook at The Roosevelt is responsible for preparing and executing a variety of pastry and dessert items with precision and creativity, ensuring each dish supports an excellent guest and member experience. The role involves a strong commitment to quality control, consistency, and adherence to food safety protocols. Working closely under the direction of the Pastry Chef, Executive Chef, and Sous Chef, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting daily pastry operations including production, preparation, and presentation of desserts and baked goods.

The Pastry Cook will assist with high-volume production to meet the needs of various dining outlets within the hotel as well as special events, ensuring that all offerings maintain the signature taste, quality, and aesthetic appeal synonymous with The Roosevelt and Waldorf Astoria brand. The position requires excellent organizational skills to maintain cleanliness and order of the pastry station, proper storage and rotation of ingredients, and strict compliance with food handling and safety guidelines. Additionally, the role encourages creativity and collaboration by supporting seasonal menu changes and working alongside the culinary team to enhance overall kitchen operations.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in pastry preparation preferred
  • Ability to follow recipes accurately
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Physical stamina for long periods of standing
  • Commitment to food safety and hygiene protocols

Job Qualifications
