Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years experience in high volume or fine dining pastry kitchens
  • culinary degree from accredited school or university
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • excellent critical thinking and decision-making skills

Job Duties

  • Plan, prep, set up, and prepare quality pastry and bake shop products
  • maintain organization, cleanliness, and sanitation of work areas and equipment
  • coordinate daily specials and prep sheets with Pastry Chef and Executive Chef
  • adhere to state sanitation and health regulations
  • inspect and maintain cleanliness and organization of work stations
  • prepare menu items following recipes and yield guides
  • minimize waste and control food costs
  • transport empty and dirty pots and pans to pot wash station
