Job Description

River Crest Country Club is a prestigious private country club located just five miles from downtown Fort Worth, Texas. Established as the oldest and most storied country club in Fort Worth, River Crest has a long-standing tradition of offering exceptional recreational and dining experiences to its members. The club prides itself on maintaining a welcoming yet elegant atmosphere where members can enjoy golf, tennis, swimming, fine dining, and numerous social events throughout the year. The club is currently seeking a full-time Pastry Cook to join its Culinary team. This role is integral to maintaining the high standard of food quality and presentation that members expect from their dining experiences at River Crest. The Pastry Cook will be responsible for preparing a variety of pastry items including continental breakfast offerings, cakes, pies, a la carte desserts, and banquet desserts for private events, member parties, and other special occasions. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, a passion for pastry arts, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. As part of the culinary team, the Pastry Cook will follow established recipes and presentation standards while contributing creative ideas to meet member tastes and preferences.

River Crest offers an excellent compensation and benefits package for this role, with a competitive hourly pay rate ranging from $20 to $23 depending on verifiable experience. Benefits eligibility begins on the first of the month following 60 days of employment. Job Duties

  • Prepare all pastry items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
  • Follow all club pastry recipes and presentation specifications
  • Follow the club's culinary standards
  • Ensure the highest of food standards and freshness of all food products
  • Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • Clean area and maintain station by practicing good safety and sanitation procedures meeting health code standards
  • Assist with the cleaning and organization of kitchen and equipment
  • Restock items as needed throughout the shift
  • Cook for small to large groups following Banquet Event Orders
  • Assist the team that prepares the weekly buffets
  • Responsible for producing high quality food that meets the Chef's standards
  • Meet daily timelines
  • Perform other tasks assigned by the Executive Pastry Chef, Sous Chef, or Executive Chef
  • Check all items prepped to assure it meets the Chef's standard
  • Maintain teamwork focus at all times
  • Completes all assigned culinary tasks in a timely and an attractive manner
  • Treat members with utmost respect
