Job Description

The Fort Worth Club is a prestigious private social club located in downtown Fort Worth, Texas. Established in 1885, it holds a significant place in the rich history of Fort Worth and Tarrant County. The club offers an elegant setting where members enjoy a variety of amenities including exquisite restaurants, comfortable hotel rooms, versatile banquet halls, and a state-of-the-art athletic center. Alongside these facilities, the club hosts numerous special events and social opportunities enhancing the experience of its members. Known for its warm hospitality and impeccable service, The Fort Worth Club has maintained a reputation for unmatched elegance and tradition for generations. In 2024, the Platinum Clubs of America ranked The Fort Worth Club as the number five city club nationwide, underscoring its exceptional standards and esteemed status within the community.

The Fort Worth Club is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Pastry Cook to join its esteemed Culinary Team. This role is integral to the club’s full-service bakery operations, which prides itself on a scratch-based concept producing all pastry items in-house. These creations include a wide variety of delicacies ranging from wedding cakes, bon bons, petit fours, mini desserts, and entremets to plated desserts served a la carte, at banquets, and during exclusive wine dinners. The culinary team at the club consists of 35 cooks and stewards, with seven holding American Culinary Federation (ACF) certifications. The club operates Monday through Saturday and observes closures on major holidays such as Christmas, New Year’s Day, and the Fourth of July.

This full-time position offers a starting wage from $20.00 per hour, with benefits beginning the first of the month following 60 days of employment. The benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, holiday pay at time and a half, and a 401(k) retirement plan with matching contributions. Applicants with at least one year of relevant pastry experience are preferred. While a degree from an Associate’s program or a certified apprenticeship program is ideal, it is not a strict requirement. Candidates should demonstrate a strong passion for the pastry arts, creativity, good organization skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. The ideal candidate will be motivated, possess a clean and organized working style, and exhibit a commitment to upholding the club’s Platinum Standards in all culinary endeavors. The Fort Worth Club offers a stimulating and supportive environment for culinary professionals eager to grow their skills and contribute to an institution renowned for excellence and tradition.
