Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in a baking or food preparation role preferred
  • certification in food safety and handling
  • ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and stand for extended periods
  • adherence to uniform guidelines and use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • compliance with safety and sanitation standards
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in baking or a related role preferred
  • certification in food safety required
  • solid grasp of baking techniques and compliance with health and safety guidelines
  • fundamental math and counting competencies
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
  • physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking or standing

Job Duties

  • Produce a range of baked goods in accordance with standardized recipes and production guidelines
  • prepare workspace with all necessary baking tools and ingredients
  • measure, weigh, blend, and dice ingredients as required
  • operate baking tools such as ovens, stoves, and mixers
  • adhere to safety precautions when using utensils like knives
  • follow guidelines for the safe storage of food products
  • sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils to maintain cleanliness and safety
