The role of Pastry Cook at Bluejack National is a vital position within the Culinary Department. Reporting directly to the Executive Chef, this is an hourly non-exempt role designed for individuals who possess a passion for the art of pastry and baking and who thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. The Pastry Cook plays an essential part in the preparation, baking, decoration, and presentation of a wide range of pastries, desserts, breads, and other baked goods, ensuring each item meets the club’s exacting standards for taste, texture, and appearance. The role requires the ability to accurately measure and mix ingredients according to established recipes, operate baking equipment, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and assist in inventory management. Additionally, the position demands a commitment to following hygiene and safety protocols while also supporting mise en place for daily service and special events. Candidates will have the opportunity to develop their pastry skills under the mentorship of the Pastry Chef and Assistant Pastry Chef, further enhancing their expertise in a premier culinary setting. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years of experience in pastry arts or baking preferred
  • Ability to follow directions and learn quickly
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Valid Texas Driver's License and compliance with driver safety policy
  • Willingness to work flexible schedule including weekdays, weekends, and holidays
