Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- 3-5 years of experience in pastry or baking
- ability to use various kitchen equipment safely
- flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- eligibility to work in the United States
- ability to maintain a clean and sanitary work environment
- strong attention to detail

- ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Job Qualifications
- 3-5 years of pastry/baking experience
- ability to operate, maintain and properly clean deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven, steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron, flat top grill
- ability to work weekends and holidays
- passion for flawless service and strong work ethic
- good communication skills
- leadership capabilities
- familiarity with food safety and sanitation practices
Job Duties
- Prepare sweet items such as pastries, cakes, ice creams, sorbets, fruit compotes, chocolates and show pieces according to guest orders and banquet event orders
- Assist in the planning and development of recipes and ensure the correct preparation and presentation of a consistent level for all food items prepared through production and demonstration
- Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment
- Date all food containers and rotate as per policies, making sure that all perishables are kept at proper temperatures
- Check pars for shift use, determine necessary preparation, freezer pull and line set up
- Note any out-of-stock items or possible shortages
- return all food items not used to designated storage areas, being sure to cover/date all perishables
- Assist in setting up plans and actions to correct any food cost problems, control food waste, loss and usage per policies
- Assist in training, development, and evaluation of employees in the Kitchen’s bake/pastry shop through effective management and leadership to ensure that established cultural and benchmark standards are met
- Effectively communicate with management, line staff, and other departments
- Perform all other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management
