Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Passion for pastry and baking
  • Experience with cakes, plated desserts, and banquet/restaurant environments
  • Minimum of two years culinary field experience or culinary degree with equivalent experience
  • Ability to understand and follow recipes in high-volume settings
  • Strong organizational, speed, and accuracy skills
  • Ability to listen and take direction well
  • Flexibility to work variable shifts including early mornings, nights, weekends, holidays, and special events

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years experience in culinary field or equivalent production experience
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of pastry techniques and culinary terminology
  • Experience working in banquet or restaurant bakery environments
  • Demonstrated ability to follow recipes in large volume settings
  • Strong piping skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent teamwork and communication abilities

Job Duties

  • Prepare cakes, plated desserts, and pastries with high quality and creativity
  • Operate efficiently in high-volume production bakery environments
  • Collaborate with other pastry chefs and kitchen staff to meet service demands
  • Follow detailed recipes and culinary terminology accurately
  • Maintain strong organizational skills to multitask under pressure
  • Participate in specialty showpiece projects like gingerbread houses
  • Adapt to flexible work schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
