Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Passion for pastry and baking
- Experience with cakes, plated desserts, and banquet/restaurant environments
- Minimum of two years culinary field experience or culinary degree with equivalent experience
- Ability to understand and follow recipes in high-volume settings
- Strong organizational, speed, and accuracy skills
- Ability to listen and take direction well
- Flexibility to work variable shifts including early mornings, nights, weekends, holidays, and special events
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of two years experience in culinary field or equivalent production experience
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of pastry techniques and culinary terminology
- Experience working in banquet or restaurant bakery environments
- Demonstrated ability to follow recipes in large volume settings
- Strong piping skills and attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork and communication abilities
Job Duties
- Prepare cakes, plated desserts, and pastries with high quality and creativity
- Operate efficiently in high-volume production bakery environments
- Collaborate with other pastry chefs and kitchen staff to meet service demands
- Follow detailed recipes and culinary terminology accurately
- Maintain strong organizational skills to multitask under pressure
- Participate in specialty showpiece projects like gingerbread houses
- Adapt to flexible work schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
