Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience in pastry or baking roles or culinary school enrollment
- Food handler certification
- Ability to work 24 to 32 hours per week with flexible schedule
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Ability to produce desserts for a high-volume restaurant environment
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
Job Qualifications
- Creativity in developing new pie and cake concepts
- Attention to detail in baking and presentation
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
- Ability to support the kitchen with prep and other duties
- Food handler certification
- Currently enrolled in culinary school or minimum 2 years of relevant experience
Job Duties
- Direct and oversee the pastry and baking functions of the kitchen
- Develop and update the dessert menu with seasonal and signature items
- Manage inventory and purchasing of baking supplies
- Control costs and minimize waste in the pastry department
- Test and develop new dessert recipes
- Monitor customer satisfaction with dessert offerings
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local food sanitation regulations
