Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Pastry Chef to join our bakery team for the early morning shift starting at 5am, five days a week. This full-time leadership position is perfect for someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to long-term growth with our organization. As a Pastry Chef, you will play a pivotal role in preparing high-quality pastries and breakfast items according to our established recipes while supervising 1-2 pastry assistants to ensure smooth daily operations. You will be responsible for maintaining kitchen cleanliness, upholding strict food safety standards, ensuring consistency in portion control and presentation, and collaborating closely with team members to optimize operations.

Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • At least 1 year experience in a professional pastry kitchen preferred
  • Strong work ethic and punctuality
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • ServSafe or food handler certification preferred
  • Leadership skills managing a small team
  • Ability to follow recipes take direction and accept feedback professionally
  • Passion for pastry and food

Job Duties

  • Prepare high-quality pastries breakfast items and pastries according to our established recipes
  • Oversee and coordinate the daily tasks of the pastry team
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and uphold food safety standards
  • Ensure consistency portion control and presentation standards
  • Help maintain inventory and assist with ordering as needed
  • Collaborate with the team to improve operations
