Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum two years of professional pastry baking experience in a high-volume kitchen
  • ability to work part-time schedule Monday through Friday
  • must be able to follow detailed recipes and production specifications
  • physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
  • must adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations
  • ability to communicate effectively with team and customers
  • availability for employment at Microsoft, Redmond, WA location

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum two years experience as a professional pastry baker in a high-volume production kitchen
  • ability to read and follow detailed recipes and production sheets
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • strong organizational skills

  • ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • capability to maintain consistent product quality and presentation

Job Duties

  • Bake breads, pies, cakes, cookies and other pastries per production and catering sheets
  • assist in production planning to meet daily requirements
  • ensure proper food preparation using approved recipes and equipment
  • assist with completion of production records including waste tracking and reporting shortages
  • ensure proper presentation, food quality, portion control and serving temperatures
  • maintain sanitation and orderliness of equipment, supplies and utensils
  • handle food safely in compliance with safety regulations
  • clean equipment and workstation thoroughly
  • interact with customers and resolve complaints professionally
  • keep up with peak production and service calmly and efficiently
  • ensure food is served and presented according to standards
  • follow sanitation and safety principles in food handling
  • complete shift work in a timely, thorough manner
  • perform other assigned duties
