Job Requirements

Physically able to meet the demands of working in a kitchen environment
valid driver's license
less than 10 percent travel required

Job Qualifications

At least four years of proven experience in a pastry position within a fast-paced kitchen
knowledge of pastry arts and ingredients
general kitchen management experience preferred

Job Duties

Order ingredients and supplies according to SCAD standards
work closely with Gryphon staff and leadership on daily operations
collaborate with general manager and chef de cuisine on catering events
develop and modify dessert menu
create and prepare all pastries
organize ingredients in the kitchen
stay current on pastry arts and ingredients
train and manage full-time bakery staff
follow Department of Health standards to maintain cleanliness
perform administrative tasks including evaluations, timesheets, and inventory
