- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in baking and pastry preparation
- knowledge of state sanitation and health regulations
- ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and properly
- strong communication skills
- ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- capable of standing for extended periods during shifts

- strong knowledge of baking techniques and pastry preparation

- attention to detail and commitment to quality
Job Duties
- responsible for the day-to-day successful operation and execution of breads/pastries and ensures that all quality, cost, and safety standards are met or exceeded
- communicate effectively with the pastry chef and the culinary team
- actively share ideas, opinions and suggestions to improve the kitchen environment and menus
- consistently offer professional, friendly and proactive guest service while supporting fellow associates
- maintain and strictly abide by state sanitation/health regulation throughout the shift
- maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment
- use equipment and tools only as intended, properly and safely
- maintain and enhance the food products through creative menu development and presentation with the assistance and guidance of the pastry chef
- have full knowledge of all menu items, daily features and promotions
- produce breads, specialty bread and desserts for events
- display items attractively and to specified requirements
- other duties as assigned by the executive chef, sous-chefs and pastry chef
