Job Duties
- Prepare and execute a variety of pastry dishes according to the restaurant's high standards
- Ensure all pastries are prepared in a timely and efficient manner, maintaining consistent quality and presentation
- Lead and mentor junior pastry staff, guiding them through daily tasks and promoting a collaborative environment
- Assign tasks to the pastry team and train junior pastry chefs in pastry techniques and kitchen procedures
- Assist in the creation of new and seasonal dessert menus and collaborate with the culinary team
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and quality control in the pastry section
- Manage inventory and coordinate ordering for the pastry section
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations
- Communicate effectively with other kitchen departments and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service
