Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum three years related experience in upscale or high-volume culinary operations
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to lead and manage a team
  • Familiarity with HACCP guidelines and food safety standards
  • Proficiency in inventory management
  • Basic computer skills

Job Qualifications

  • Culinary degree preferred
  • Minimum three years related experience in upscale, high-volume restaurant or catering operations
  • Ability to demonstrate creative and quality-driven pastry skills
  • Good food knowledge and recognition of quality product
  • Strong knowledge of current food and catering trends focusing on seasonal ingredients
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of safe and sanitary food handling principles
  • ServSafe or Department of Health certification is a plus

Job Duties

  • Prepares, produces, and orders for the pastry department
  • Handles, prepares, and stores perishable products
  • Adheres to HACCP guidelines to ensure efficient, safe, and sanitary food production
  • Develops menu items and recipes reflecting quality and creativity
  • Manages inventory and controls food costs
  • Oversees hiring, mentoring, and development of hourly associates
  • Maintains sanitation and safety standards within the pastry department
