Job Requirements

- Minimum three years related experience in upscale or high-volume culinary operations
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to lead and manage a team
- Familiarity with HACCP guidelines and food safety standards
- Proficiency in inventory management
- Basic computer skills

- Culinary degree preferred
- Minimum three years related experience in upscale, high-volume restaurant or catering operations
- Ability to demonstrate creative and quality-driven pastry skills
- Good food knowledge and recognition of quality product
- Strong knowledge of current food and catering trends focusing on seasonal ingredients
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of safe and sanitary food handling principles
- ServSafe or Department of Health certification is a plus
Job Duties
- Prepares, produces, and orders for the pastry department
- Handles, prepares, and stores perishable products
- Adheres to HACCP guidelines to ensure efficient, safe, and sanitary food production
- Develops menu items and recipes reflecting quality and creativity
- Manages inventory and controls food costs
- Oversees hiring, mentoring, and development of hourly associates
- Maintains sanitation and safety standards within the pastry department
