Job Description
The Indigo Road Hospitality Group (IRHG) is a dynamic and forward-thinking hospitality company founded in 2009 by Steve Palmer. Since its inception, IRHG has been dedicated to reshaping the hospitality industry through a people-first approach that values its employees as much as its guests. With over 30 locations, this group is more than just a collection of restaurants and hospitality venues; it is a family, a lifestyle, and a journey. IRHG prides itself on fostering an environment where its team members can thrive, grow internally, and feel a genuine sense of belonging. The company places a strong emphasis on caring for its employees, understanding that by doing so, they are better equipped to offer outstanding service and memorable experiences to their guests. Alongside competitive salaries and generous benefits, IRHG offers its staff numerous opportunities for career advancement, making it an ideal workplace for those passionate about hospitality and growth.
The Pastry Chef role at IRHG is crafted for someone who lives and breathes desserts and sweet creations. This position holds a pivotal role in the kitchen, responsible for delivering exceptional dessert offerings that complement the restaurant’s unique concept and locale. The Pastry Chef will collaborate closely with the Executive Chef to ensure the dessert menu aligns harmoniously with the overall dining experience. Passion for sweets is a must, as is the talent to translate recipes, sometimes inspired by cherished family traditions like grandmother’s pecan pie, into exquisite desserts that delight guests consistently. Beyond the creation of delicious desserts, the Pastry Chef will lead and mentor a team of pastry cooks, sharing inspiration, maintaining a positive kitchen culture, and ensuring all recipes meet the company’s high standards for consistency and quality. Strong communication skills and a receptive attitude toward feedback are essential, as the role involves coordinating seamlessly with other chefs to maintain a smooth, collaborative kitchen environment.
Maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and adherence to health regulations is another key responsibility, ensuring all kitchen surfaces, equipment, and refrigeration units meet strict sanitation guidelines. The Pastry Chef must also be proactive in reporting any shortages, equipment issues, or product quality concerns to management. This role represents an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and growing team, working in a fast-paced and rewarding environment that values creativity, attention to detail, leadership, and passion. If you are ready to take your pastry skills to the next level within a supportive and innovative hospitality group, the Indigo Road Hospitality Group encourages you to join their mission to change the hospitality industry forever.
