Job Requirements

  • bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 3 to 5 years relevant experience in pastry or baking
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • capacity to lift up to 50 lbs
  • serv-safe certification within 90 days
  • valid new mexico driver’s license
  • successful completion of pre-employment alcohol and drug screening

Job Qualifications

  • bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in culinary arts or related field
  • 3 to 5 years of experience specifically in pastry or baking
  • proven leadership and supervisory skills in a kitchen environment
  • strong communication and problem-solving abilities
  • proficiency with basic computer software and kronos timekeeping system
  • serv-safe certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire

Job Duties

  • prepare a variety of baked goods including cakes breads and pastries adhering to recipes and quality standards
  • supervise kitchen staff including hiring recommendations daily operations oversight and training
  • ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen
  • manage food costs by minimizing waste and adhering to budget forecasts
  • contribute to menu development and banquet preparation for special events
  • utilize basic computer software and kronos timekeeping system for scheduling and reporting
  • maintain physical endurance to meet job demands including standing lifting heavy items and working in varied kitchen temperatures
