Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience working in a professional kitchen environment
  • strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
  • good interpersonal skills and the ability to resolve conflicts
  • flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
  • physical stamina to stand for long periods

Job Qualifications

  • proven experience as a pastry chef or similar role
  • strong understanding of baking techniques and ingredients
  • demonstrated leadership and team management skills
  • ability to innovate and create new pastry products
  • knowledge of sanitation and health regulations
  • excellent organizational and communication skills
  • culinary degree or relevant certification preferred

Job Duties

  • monitor and maintain quality of all product and presentation
  • oversee all aspects of the daily operation of pastry production areas
  • receive, check and properly store all incoming product
  • know and comply with all sanitation standards
  • schedule pastry and bread production based on business needs and communicate to staff
  • prepare reports as needed - including payroll and scheduling
  • review vendor pricing structures and adjust product as needed
  • operate, teach and supervise safe operation of all appliances and equipment
  • handle conflict resolution of guests and staff as needed
