The JW Marriott Scottsdale Camelback Inn Resort & Spa is seeking a dedicated and skilled Pastry Chef Manager to lead its culinary team. This is a full-time management position offering an annual pay range of $89,000 to $124,000, with bonus eligibility reflecting the importance of leadership and operational excellence. The role requires a passionate culinary professional with strong leadership abilities and a commitment to creativity, quality, and outstanding service.

As the Pastry Chef Manager, you will play a critical role in both the day-to-day operations and long-term success of the pastry department. Your primary responsibility is to exhibit creative baking and decorating talents by personally preparing high-quality, consistent pastries while leading and developing a skilled culinary team. You will ensure that every pastry leaving the kitchen meets the highest standards in taste, presentation, and safety. Operating within an established budget, you will contribute to cost control, inventory management, and efficient purchasing practices.

Leadership within this position is paramount; you will supervise and inspire your team, creating an environment of mutual respect, open communication, and professional growth. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 4 years of experience in culinary or related food and beverage area
  • or 2-year degree from accredited university in Culinary Arts or related field with 2 years experience
  • Ability to lead and manage a team effectively
  • Strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of sanitation and food safety standards
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 4 years of culinary or related professional experience
  • or 2-year degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major with 2 years of relevant experience
  • Proven leadership and management skills in a culinary setting
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to create innovative pastry products
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and compliance standards
  • Experience in training and developing culinary staff

Job Duties
