Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Four years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
  • Or two-year degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
  • Two years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills
  • Ability to develop and train staff
  • Commitment to sanitation and food safety standards
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage budgets and control inventory
  • Must work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with four years of culinary, food and beverage, or related professional experience
  • Or a two-year degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major with two years of experience
  • Proven leadership and management skills
  • Strong creativity in baking and decorating
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and portion control procedures
  • Ability to train and develop team members
  • Experience managing budgets and controlling costs
  • Familiarity with compliance to food and beverage policies and relevant laws

Job Duties

  • Lead and influence pastry culinary team utilizing interpersonal and communication skills
  • Supervise and manage employees while overseeing day-to-day pastry operations
  • Encourage and build mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members
  • Prepare food items and execute requests according to required specifications during shifts
  • Develop and create new pastry applications, recipes, and artistic contributions
  • Maintain food preparation, handling, storage, and purchasing standards
  • Ensure compliance with all Food & Beverage policies, standards, procedures, laws, and regulations
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring guest satisfaction and retention
  • Train employees in safety procedures and supervise adherence to loss prevention policies
  • Participate in employee hiring, training, and disciplinary processes as needed
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and subordinates to solve problems and improve operations
  • Attend and contribute to relevant meetings
  • Monitor budget goals, inventory, and team performance to achieve culinary objectives
