Job Description

SUSHISAMBA is a renowned restaurant brand that celebrates the unique culture and cuisine of Japan, Brazil, and Peru. Known for its vibrant blend of these three distinct culinary traditions, SUSHISAMBA offers a unique dining experience that emphasizes bold flavors, the finest ingredients, and artful presentations. This acclaimed establishment not only delights local diners but also boasts international locations in London, Edinburgh, Dubai, Doha, and Bahrain, demonstrating its global appeal and commitment to excellence in the culinary arts.

At SUSHISAMBA, the focus is not only on delivering exceptional food but also on creating a compelling and dynamic atmosphere that reflects the rich cultural heritage of its culinary inspirations. The restaurant's menus feature an exciting mix of new and signature dishes, crafted to provide guests with a memorable gastronomic journey. Behind the scenes, SUSHISAMBA values dedicated culinary professionals who can contribute to maintaining its high standards and innovative approach to food preparation.

The Pastry Cook role at SUSHISAMBA reports directly to the Head Pastry Chef and plays a critical part in this culinary story. The primary responsibilities of the Pastry Cook include the preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of desserts. Attention to detail is paramount, as the Pastry Cook must ensure that every pastry product meets the company’s quality standards. The role also involves inspecting supplies, equipment, and work areas regularly to maintain cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency.

This position requires an individual with a passion for pastry arts and a strong culinary skillset, preferably with experience in high-end or internationally recognized hotel or restaurant settings. The Pastry Cook will often work flexible, sometimes long hours, necessitating physical endurance and the ability to stand through entire shifts. The job occasionally requires exerting strength to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 30 pounds, highlighting the physically demanding nature of the role. Knowledge of Latin and Asian cuisines is considered a distinct advantage, as it aligns well with SUSHISAMBA’s diverse culinary palette.

Overall, SUSHISAMBA offers a dynamic and rewarding workplace where culinary professionals can thrive and grow. The Pastry Cook position is more than just a job; it is an opportunity to contribute creatively to a celebrated culinary brand while enjoying a supportive work environment that values employee well-being and development.
