Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role
- Knowledge of baking techniques and kitchen equipment
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Extensive experience in pastry baking and kitchen management
- Strong leadership and team coaching skills
- Creativity and innovation in pastry product development
- Knowledge of sanitation and safety standards in food preparation
- Ability to manage scheduling and inventory
- Experience in conflict resolution
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Job Duties
- Monitor and maintain quality of all product and presentation
- Oversee all aspects of the daily operation of pastry production areas
- Receive, check and properly store all incoming product
- Know and comply with all sanitation standards
- Schedule pastry and bread production based on business needs and communicate to staff
- Prepare reports as needed including payroll and scheduling
- Review vendor pricing structures and adjust product as needed
- Operate, teach and supervise safe operation of all appliances and equipment
- Handle conflict resolution of guests and staff as needed
