We are currently seeking a skilled and creative Pastry Chef to join our culinary team. The Pastry Chef will be a key player responsible for overseeing all operations within the pastry department. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Formal culinary training in baking and pastry arts preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a pastry chef role or similar position
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to handle and resolve conflicts effectively

  • Proven experience as a pastry chef or in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of baking techniques and pastry preparation
  • Ability to innovate and create new pastry products

  • Familiarity with sanitation standards and safety regulations

  • Experience with vendor management and cost control

Job Duties

  • Monitor and maintain quality of all product and presentation
  • Oversee all aspects of the daily operation of pastry production areas
  • Receive, check and properly store all incoming product
  • Know and comply with all sanitation standards
  • Schedule pastry and bread production based on business needs and communicate to staff
  • Prepare reports as needed including payroll and scheduling
  • Review vendor pricing structures and adjust product as needed
  • Operate, teach and supervise safe operation of all appliances and equipment
  • Handle conflict resolution of guests and staff as needed
