Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- At least a year’s training at a culinary institute or previous restaurant training and experience
- Ability to stand and walk during 6 to 8 hour shifts
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and wipe
- Ability to lift and carry supplies and equipment up to 60 pounds and place items on high and low shelves in storerooms and freezers
- Ability to work in an environment that is subject to varying levels of heat and noise
Job Qualifications
- At least a year’s training at a culinary institute or previous restaurant training and experience
- Food preparation knowledge and line work experience
- Ability to operate various cooking equipment
- Ability to read and interpret recipes
Job Duties
- Prepare all pastry items in accordance to company approved recipes
- Develop new and innovative pastry items to be used as specials or potential new menu items
- Ensure that all dessert components are fully stocked and prepared for service
- Follow all safety and health rules for sanitary food handling and kitchen cleanliness
- Daily set up workstation and keep it neat and clean
- Assist coworkers to ensure efficient operation of the line
- Review and comprehend recipes and other necessary documentation
