Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in baking or pastry preparation
- Food safety certification is mandatory
- Ability to follow safety and sanitation procedures
- Physical ability to perform tasks including lifting and prolonged standing
- Effective communication skills
- Compliance with uniform and PPE protocols
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Job Qualifications
- Background in baking or a similar role
- Sound understanding of baking practices, norms, and regulations for ensuring food safety
- Mandatory certification for securing food safety certification(s)
- Fundamental abilities in mathematics and counting
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Physical capacity to complete tasks like lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and prolonged walking or standing
- Willingness to wear uniforms and adhere to PPE guidelines
Job Duties
- Use standardized recipes and production guidelines to prepare a range of baked goods
- Get your baking station ready with all the necessary tools and ingredients
- Arrange the elements through measuring, weighing, blending, dicing, and other necessary tasks
- Utilize baking appliances such as ovens, cooktops, and mixers
- Follow safety guidelines when using kitchen utensils, particularly knives, during food prep
- Ensure that food is stored correctly by following established policies and procedures
- Properly clean and sanitize workspaces, tools, and utensils once they have been used
